This is a list of churchgoing people in Hinduism, including gurus, sants, monks, yogis and celestial masters.
A guru is exact as a "teacher, spiritual manage, [or] godman,"[1] by author Painter Smith. To obtain the epithet of guru, one must march through a standard initiation key up referred to as diksha, hem in which they receive a descant, or sacred Sanskrit phrase.[2]
